Tuesday

Description:

Something very strange is happening down at the pond. It's an ordinary Tuesday evening at eight o'clock, the sun is setting, and a flock of frogs perched on their lily pads is starting to do something most unusual: they are rising up into the air. Soon, dozens of frogs are floating gently through the dusk, gliding past flapping laundry, swooping through quiet suburban streets, peering through living-room windows at people watching late-night television, and even sending a very confused dog scampering for cover. By dawn, the magic fades, the frogs drop back to earth, and the only clues left behind are a scattering of soggy lily pads. But what could possibly happen next Tuesday? A wordless, witty, and entirely magical Caldecott Medal-winning picture book by master storyteller David Wiesner, illustrated in his trademark luminous watercolour.
