Description:

A hungry monkey longs to reach the sweet mangoes growing on an island in the middle of a river, but he cannot swim across. A crafty crocodile offers to carry him there on his back, but secretly plans to eat him once they reach the middle of the river. Realizing the danger just in time, the quick-thinking monkey must use his wits to outsmart the crocodile and escape safely. Told in the lively tradition of Indian folk tales, this vibrant, boldly illustrated picture book celebrates cleverness and quick thinking triumphing over trickery.
