Description:

A little girl needs help finding the perfect birthday present for her mother, who loves the colours red, yellow, green, and blue. Luckily, she meets Mr. Rabbit, who is happy to help her think it through. Together they wander through fields and gardens, gathering a red apple, a yellow banana, green grapes, and blue plums, until they've collected the loveliest basket of fruit imaginable. This gentle, rhythmic story, illustrated by the legendary Maurice Sendak, celebrates colours, kindness, and the joy of choosing a thoughtful gift. A lovely, calming read for young children, perfect for springtime and birthdays.
