Fone Bone and Smiley Bone set off on a big journey through the wild Eastern Mountains to take their little rat-creature friend, Bartleby, safely back home. But the mountains are dangerous! They soon run into Rock Jaw, a huge, grumpy mountain lion who thinks he rules the border — and he insists that everyone must pick a side in the coming war. Along the way, the Bones also make friends with a plucky group of baby animals who have lost their parents. It all leads to a gigantic, earth-shaking showdown between mighty Rock Jaw and Kingdok, king of the rat creatures!
